Ok, so this has never been my favorite holiday and to be honest probably never will be. So sorry if that offends you Halloween freaks out there, you know who you are :)! But I do have to say I've been enjoying the Halloween spirit this year. I think that it might be that Aubrey is now at the age that she can really enjoy all the things this crazy holiday has to offer. I even dressed up for a Halloween party, that's the first time I dressed up in YEARS. Oh and speaking of this Halloween party, did I mention that I was the ONLY adult dressed up! (Thanks Britnee :)) Oh well, Aubrey thought I was a pretty cool cowgirl. We are all so excited to go Trunk-or-Treating at my parents ward. Aubrey is dressing up as an Indian and Kennedy will go as a Kitty Cat. And let me tell you, the other night I arrived into full parenthood...I had a glue gun, sequences, feathers, and beads. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning putting all these thing on Aubrey's costume. I even bought a mini sewing kit! Man, did I feel crafty.
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Night Two...and going strong

So first of all I need to confess that I have been a total blogger slacker! I always tell Bob that I could live without the internet....hello, what was I thinking. We had our internet down for a few days and I went CRAZY !! So I also must confess that I am addicted to the internet.

Well about the nightlight, Aubrey for MONTHS now has been waking up in the middle of the night. Some nights it's only once other nights is three or four times. Needless to say this has been a problem in our house. I don't do well when I am a woken up in the wee hours of the morning! This does not make a happy Jen. So two days ago I took Aubrey to Target to get her very "special" nightlight. She was so excited to do this. She kept saying that her "special" nightlight won't let her have any bad dreams and that she'll be able to sleep through the night and stay in her bed. I am happy to report that we are now on day TWO of a peaceful night sleep both for Aubrey and the rest of the family! YES!!! I can't believe that I didn't think of putting a nightlight in her room months ago. What can I say, I think I'm a little slow. So I hope by posting this I not jinxing the "special" nightlight and it's magical powers!

pLaYiNg WiTh CoLoR...

Okay, I really think I have a problem. I stay up WAY to late. I'm talking late. Midnight or later. For some of you this may not be a problem, but for me it is. I love my sleep. But I must love playing around on the computer more, because when I get this laptop in my hands I am non stop! Like for instants, these pictures. I ran out of things to look up on the internet, so I was looking at old pictures and decided to play around with the "edit" button. Well needless to say it's been hours of fun. I know I will hate myself in the morning! Hopefully the girls will cooperate and both take a nap tomorrow - yeah right.

Cattle Drive through Suburbia

Today, the girls and I went up to my parents house and drove in the cattle! Well not really, but Kimmy did. Every year since this girl has been with Ryker, she goes up into the mountains and brings the herd home. She has turned into quite the cowgirl...Yeehaw! They take the cattle right through my parents neighborhood, so its kind of tradition to watch. Aubrey remembered watching it last year, she even got to ride on "fire" , a very nice horse, and yelled out "hey cow", I guess the cows respond to that? This year, we rode on the 4 wheeler and just observed. Aubrey was asking all day when it was time to go see the cows. Kennedy was loving it! She was waving to the cows and trying to attempt a "moo" sound. Aubrey was telling everyone her knowledge about cows, the difference between boy cows and girl cows, and how they give us milk and the list goes on and on (trust me). I didn't know she knew so much about cows...way to go Aubrey! They both got to ride on the horse with Kimmy, which was a first for Kennedy. Such a fun day, can't wait until next year. It's fun to see my little sister (the mall brat) turn all cowgirl like.

Kennedy & Kimmy - this was Kennedy's first time on a horse!

Love Letters...

The day before Bob and I were married I received the cutest card from him. I ran across it the other day and wanted to do something with it. Due to the fact that I do not scrapbook I thought I would scan and post. Much easier. Its kind of hard to read so I will translate...

Jen
There are things in our lives we can't change. But I can spend the rest of it loving you.
The simple truths will never change - I love you more today then yesterday - and -
I will love you more tomorrow then today.
Love your very soon to be husband Bob
I (heart) you
P.S. we will always be able to talk about anything

Dinner, Movie & A Little Drama...

Last week, for Kimmy's Birthday the girls went up to Market Street Grill and had a yummy dinner...but lets be honest any dinner without kids is pretty yummy! Then we went and saw Eagle Eye...loved it, very entertaining...but lets be honest, again, any movie that's not animated is a treat! Happy Birthday Kimmy!

Aubrey & Cosmo

Aubrey and I went to the BYU Homecoming game. I think I watched Aubrey more then I watched the game (which was a lot more exciting). She was shouting, clapping, jumping up and down, singing the fight song, and of course attacking Cosmo! Or was he attacking her? Not sure, either way we had a blast and I was so happy that Aubrey enjoyed game! Goooooooo Cougars!

PuMpKiN LaNd

Today, Kimmy & I took the kids to Pumpkin Land! Holy Crap that was a production! Note to self...do NOT take a teething child that also burned her finger on the flat iron that morning and during nap time, to Pumpkin Land! Kennedy pretty much cried the whole time we were there. But we did manage to have a little fun and Aubrey was pretty excited to pick out some pumpkins.

(Kimmy is watching Kolman while Melissa & Tom are having so much fun in Lake Powell)

Tag...

Answer all the following two-word leads:

I am: in desperate need of a vacation!

I think: politics are LAME - sorry but I do.

I know: I'm not perfect, and that's okay

I want: a bigger house...well that would mean more cleaning - so maybe not

I have: two beautiful funny girls

I dislike: people who chew with their mouths open...yuck

I fear: heights!

I feel: happy... most of the time

I hear: nothing! I love when everyone is in bed

I smell: Amish Friendship bread...yummy! Thanks Susan for the start

I crave: Schlotzsky's - why did they have to close!

I cry: probably too often

I usually: laugh everyday

I search: for random things on the internet all the time!

I wonder: about the future

I regret: a few things, which is good, because I've done ALOT of stupid things! I really try not to regret anything...I try to learn from it.

I love: my family - both my immediate family and my little family

I care: about relationships

I always: have coke in the fridge - it keeps Bob happy

I worry: about my kids growing up and the things they are going to have to deal with

I am not: shy

I remember: everything!

I believe: in being happy

I dance: while I clean my house..which is daily!

I sing: silly songs with Aubrey

I don't always: enjoy my job...but wouldn't trade it for anything!

I argue: over the dumbest things

I write: about things I'm grateful for

I win: the lottery in my dreams...aahhh, wouldn't that be nice

I lose: my patients at the end of the day

I wish: I didn't have to worry about money

I listen: to my ipod daily

I don't understand: the phrase...you can't have your cake and eat it too. That is so lame, if I have cake you better believe I'm eating it!

I can usually be found: at home, in the car, or when I'm trying to kill time... the park.

I am scared: of the dark - go ahead and laugh, but I know there is something that lives under my bed when the lights go out! I blame my dad, he always tried (and usually succeeded) to scare me at night! He would even hide in my closet when I would go to bed and then jump out and scare me! CREEPY. I'm surprised I can sleep at all.

I need: my mom

I forget: to unplug the flat iron - or forget that I already unplugged it! So frustrating.

I am happy: when everyone else is happy
